    Directorate of Census Operations, Sikkim under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India issued notification inviting applications for filling up to 5 posts of Senior Compiler (3 posts) and Assistant Complier (2 posts) from amongst the officials of Central / State Government Departments on deputation basis initially for a period of one year. Interested candidates should send their applications within 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the employment news i.e. till 27 January 2014, as the notification was published in Employment News dated 14 December 2013 – 20 December 2013.

    Vacancy Details

    Total Vacancies: 5 posts

    Nature of Service: Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-ministerial

    Type of recruitment: on Deputation basis

    Period of recruitment: initially for one year, extendable if required.

    (NOTE: Total period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post in same or other department / office of state / central government should ordinarily not exceed 3 years)

    1. Name of the Post: Senior Compiler

    Total Vacancies: 3 posts
    Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800

    Eligibility Criterion

    Age Limit: not exceed 56 years (as on the closing date for receipt of application)

    Eligibility Conditions: Officials of the Central Government / State Government holding analogous posts or with 5 years regular service in the posts in the Pay Band 1 of Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 or equivalent.

    Officers holding a degree with Economics / Statistics / Mathematics as a subject would be preferred.

    2. Name of the Post: Assistant Compiler

    Total Vacancies: 2 posts
    Pay Scale: Pay Band 1 of Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

    Eligibility Criterion

    Age Limit: not exceed 56 years (as on the closing date for receipt of application).

    Eligibility Conditions: Officials of the Central Government / State Government / Union Territories holding analogous posts or with 3 years regular service in the posts in the Pay Band 1 of Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1800 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department. The officer must be have passed Class 12th or equivalent and qualified the 10 minutes Skill test norms – (English typing @ 35 words per minute and Hindi typing @ 30 words per minute)   -- on Computers

    Officers holding a ‘O’ level certificate in Computers would be preferred.

    Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done through Deputation.
