Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), a joint venture company with equity participation from Govt. of India and Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of the rail based Mass Rapid Transit System for Delhi & NCR. Selection Procedure: Final selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Written Test and Personal Interview, and their clearing the prescribed medical examination.

For the post of Sr. System Analyst (Post Code-01): The written test will have two papers to be held on the same day in the same centre. Candidates will be required to clear the Medical examination in Bee-Two category Medical Standards as per Indian Rly. Medical Manual.

For the post of Jr. Engineers (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Civil), (Post Codes 02, 03, 04 & 05): The written test will have two papers to be held on the same day in the same centre. Candidates will be required to clear the Medical examination in Aye-one category not below Aye-three category Medical Standards as per Indian Rly. Medical Manual.

For the post of Maintainer (Post Code-06): The written test will consist of one paper. Candidates will be required to clear the Medical examination in Bee-One category Medical Standards as per Indian Rly. Medical Manual.

The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness. Candidates will have to pass through each stage successfully (including Medical examination), before being adjudged as suitable for selection.

Dates of written examination, result of written examination and all recruitment related information will be available on DMRC Web site. So, candidates should regularly check it / visit it for any updates.

Written Test
(For post codes 01, 02, 03, 04 & 05): The written test will consist of two papers (Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions, on General Awareness, English, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and/or knowledge of the discipline/trade. There will be a total of 120 questions, each carrying equal marks. There will be no negative marking.

Paper-II will consist of subjective type questions on Paragraph Writing, Comprehension, Essay and questions on Science & Technology matter, in English Medium to judge the candidate’s comprehension skills & test of English language.

Both the Papers will be of 1.5 hours duration.

Paper-II will evaluated for only those candidates who qualify in Paper-I and rank high on the merit list. Candidates qualifying the Written Test (Both Paper-I & Paper-II) will be called for Personal Interview, at Delhi.

(For post code 06): The written test will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions on General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language and specific ITI trade / discipline carrying a total of 120 questions. Each question will carry equal marks. There will be no negative marking. The paper will be of 1.5 hours duration.

The written test will be held at Delhi only.

Selection of candidate by DMRC does not confer any right to the candidate for appointment.

Travel Allowance: Candidates called for Personal interview and Medical examination at Delhi (for all posts) shall be paid to & fro sleeper class Railway fare for journey by the shortest route between Railway Station nearest to hometown & Delhi.

Surety Bond: Selected candidates will have to execute a surety bond of Rs.75000 & Cost of training [Rs.22000 approx. for posts of Sr. System Analyst, Jr. Engineers (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Civil) / Rs.15000 approx. for posts of Maintainers] to serve the corporation for a minimum period of 3 years (exclusive of the period in which he remained on LWP or EOL) and also a 3 months prior notice, will be required before seeking resignation from the corporation.

Training & Probation: Selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of 2 years (including period of training), where they will undergo intensive training for prescribed duration. During probation, candidates will be required to pass various examinations.
Application Fees (including postage charges): Non-refundable application fee of Rs.375 (UR & OBC including Ex-servicemen candidates) / Rs.125 (SC / ST candidates) for each post has to be deposited in any Branch of State Bank of India in a specially opened DMRC Account No. 32091518042 using a CASH CHALLAN – a triplicate fee payment voucher (1st copy-Candidate’s copy, 2nd DMRC copy & 3rd Bank’s copy) available for download on DMRC website , till 16 May 2103.

The mentioned fee includes bank charges of Rs.50

On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch code of the bank collecting the money. Candidates are required to collect the “Candidate’s Copy” and “DMRC Copy” from the bank after ensuring that that these cash challans contain i) Journal number ii) Branch Name iii) Branch code No. iv) Date of deposit v) Amount.

If selected for Interview, candidate will have to show the original copy of the challan meant for the candidate.

How to apply: Interested eligible candidates are required to apply online through DMRC website till 16 May 2103.

Under the Career link on the website, candidates should open recruitment notification “DMRC/OM/HR/I/2013”, download the CASH CHALLAN, pay the prescribed fees, re-visit the career link -- “DMRC/OM/HR/I/2013” and “Apply Online”. The Online registration will remain active till 23.59 hrs of 16 May 2013.

On successful submission of the online application form, the system will generate a Registration Slip with a unique Registration number on it. Candidates are advised to take 2 (two) print outs of this Registration slip and keep one with themselves for future reference.

They should send the other copy of registration slip, duly completed, along with copies of required documents and DMRC’s copy of fee deposit receipt, by ordinary post to ‘DMRC Limited, Post Bag No. 9, Lodhi Road Post Office, New Delhi- 110003’  so as to reach the given address by 28 May 2103.

After the closing date for receipt of applications by post, a sub- link will be provided on the DMRC website using which candidates can track the status of their applications.

On the envelope candidates should super-scribe ‘Name of the post, post code and Category – UR/OBC/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen (as the case may be).’

Admit Card: The admit card for written test will only be downloaded from DMRC website. It will NOT be sent by post or email.

Eligible candidates, whose applications are available on the Master list & do not receive the admit card for written examination in time, may check the status of their application and download the admit card from DMRC website.

NOTE: One envelop should carry only one application only.
Candidate applying for more than one post, should register online separately for each post, fill separate applications for each post, remit the fee separately for each post and send print out o each application in separate envelopes. Candidates applying should have a valid personal e-mail ID that should be kept active during the currency of the recruitment process.
Candidates must remain in constant touch with DMRC‟s website for any information regarding dates of written test, result of written test, schedule of Interview, standards of Vision for Medical test etc.
Age will be reckoned as on 1 January 2013.
Upper age limit relax able by 5 years for SC / ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
Existing DMRC employees, who have completed at least 3 years continuous service in DMRC as on 1 January 2013, will be given age relaxation to the extent of 3 years as on the date of reckoning of age limit.
For post codes 02, 03, 04 & 05, Diploma in respective disciplines is a must.
Candidates with higher qualification like B. Tech. etc are not eligible to apply for the posts of Jr. Engineers.
All posts are technical posts and there is no reservation for physically handicapped candidates in this selection.
Candidates appearing at the qualifying exam / awaiting results for the qualifying exams are eligible to apply.
