Delhi University Admission 2021: As per the updates, the University of Delhi will release the DU 2nd cut off list 2021 tomorrow on 9th October 2021. Candidates can check the second cut off list of Delhi University at du.ac.in and individual college websites. They can register for admission at the respective college websites between 11th and 13th October 2021. With the release of the DU 2nd cut off list, candidates will also get the option of upgrading their admission or changing colleges as well. However, to change DU colleges and courses, candidates have to withdraw their previous admission taken against 1st cut-off list at DU and select the new colleges and courses as per the eligibility. 

Candidates meeting the DU 2nd cut off 2021 need to fill the application form and specify the course and college offering the programme of their choice. They need to also complete the payment and document verification to complete the Delhi University admission process. DU 2nd Cut off List 2021: How to Withdraw Admission, Upgrade or Change Colleges?

After the release of Delhi University 2nd cut off list, candidates must check if they are eligible to get admission into their aspired college and make a choice if they really want to upgrade or change colleges. Also, it has been stated by Delhi University that “Admission once cancelled/withdrawn will not be restored under any circumstances. The sole responsibility of cancellation/withdrawal of admission, for whatever reason/ circumstances will be of the candidate only." After the final decision, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps - 

  1. To change the college, candidates will have to withdraw the admission if they have taken in any other college affiliated with Delhi University. For this, they will have to download the cancellation form. The DU cancellation form is available on the official site du.ac.in. 
  2. Now fill in all the necessary details, then pay the cancellation fees. As per the year 2020, a nominal fee of Rs. 1000 is charged for each withdrawal. Once the fee payment has been done, the same will be adjusted in the subsequent course or college for which the candidate has applied.
  3. After payment of the cancellation fees, download the confirmation page and keep it safe as proof of admission withdrawal.  
  4. Now the candidate can select a new college and course by logging into their account from the official website of Delhi University. 
  5. They will have to choose only one course in one college and for this, they must ensure that they meet the cut off marks and are eligible as prescribed by the college. 
  6. After submission of application for the college change or the new college, candidates might get a confirmation for selection. In case they do, the document verification process will be held followed by payment of fees for confirmation of admission.   

Delhi University 2nd Cut Off List Guidelines for UG Admission 2021

  1. Candidates must go through their marks or percentages and eligibility criteria before applying for admission to DU. 
  2. They must ensure that their best of four/three fall within the cutoff they are applying for admission.
  3. They can choose only one course and college when a particular cutoff is released. Also, they will not be allowed to change a course or college during a particular cut-off session. 
  4. Selection of programme and College can be made only through the candidate’s own dashboard. No physical visit to the Colleges/ University during the admission process is allowed due to COVID-19.

As per the reports, as many as 47,291 students have applied for the DU UG admissions 2021 till date based on the first cut-off list. The varsity had put out the first cut-off list on 1st October, with many courses in top colleges such as Hansraj College and Hindu College declaring a cut-off of 100% for certain courses. The First cut off list recorded as many as 8 colleges with 100% cut off as students managed to score very high marks in class 12 board results. This has increased the chances of cut-offs going higher as compared to the previous year.
