After vehement complaint against the confusion and lack of clarity in the required cut off marks to get into the colleges under DU by the parents and students, the Delhi University has ordered the colleges to come up with fresh set of merit lists for undergraduate admission.
Colleges under DU, which had vacant seats left even after the issue of fifth and final cut off list by the university, had recently released their merit list, admission of which was supposed to take place on Thursday and Friday.
But, there were reported confusions in part of the admission procedure and many students complaint that even after having more marks than the merit list, they were not being placed in the merit list itself.
There were reported problems, confusion over marks in the merit list and lack of clarity in the selection procedure in many of the colleges under DU which had seats left in different subjects. Most of colleges made the huge number of applications for the limited seats and lack of clarity in data provide by the university, responsible for this mayhem.

The tedious process of screening huge number of applicants applying for the very few seats available was tiresome for the authorities and there were mistakes registered in the overall merit list.
Allowing students who have already taken admission to various colleges under DU in different courses to apply for the vacant seats as well, added up to the confusion. The second merit list of the colleges would get issued on Saturday.
The documents, in regard of this list should be verified by Tuesday as the third merit list would come up on 3 August, 2016.
