DU Admission Registration 2021: Delhi University has completed the DU 2021 Registration process for the undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. The university commenced the registration process for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from August 2, 2021. The last date for students to complete registration and application process was August 31, 2021.
The admissions to the various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are conducted based on merit taking into consideration the marks secured by the students in the qualifying class 12 examinations. DU also conducts admissions through the entrance examination for a few of the courses which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency.

DU Admission 2021 Registration: Key Points
- The marks of students from those educational boards that don’t have the system of 70% theory and 30% practical in their marks will be converted on proportional basis.
- Mathematics is compulsory in 10+2 for admission to B.Com (hons), Mathematics (hons), Statistics (hons), Computer Science (hons), and Economics (hons).
- If a student wants to pursue Honors program in a subject that he/she has not studied in Class 12th then the student will face a 2.5% disadvantage in the best of four aggregate.
- If one opts for a Modern Indian Language (Except Hindi) as a subject in BA (Prog) an advantage of up to 10% may be given in ‘Best Four’ in colleges where MIL is offered as a subject.

DU Admission Registration 2021: Step-by-step Process
Given below is a step by step guide to the Delhi University admission process that the DU aspirants can follow for the DU Admission process 2021.
Step 1: To Create a New Account
The first step of the DU Registration process is the online registration form which the applicant has to visit the official website i.e. du.ac.in. The UG Admission Portal of the University of Delhi is mobile/tab friendly. However, the webpage may appear different on different devices. The following instructions are for the Webpage as it appears on a desktop/laptop.
Step 2: Login to the Account
As a first time user, the applicant must go to the “DU Admission Portal 2020" and then create the user account by clicking on the “UG ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW” link. Provide a valid email-id and a password to create a new account. The applicant must also ensure that the email-id and password are kept handy for all the future correspondence/reference regarding the admission process.
Step 3: Enter your Personal Information
After successful registration you'll be provided with your login credentials. Use your credentials to login to application portal. Then fill in personal Details in the DU Application Form. Given below is the list of the details that the candidates will be required to fill in the application form.
- Name of the Candidate – This field is automatically filled in as per the details submitted at the time of registration.
- Email ID – This field is also automatically filled in as per the details submitted at the time of registration.
- Mobile Number – Though the candidates had to give their mobile number in the registration form, however, they can also update it if they wish to.
- Gender – Choose your relevant gender
- Date of Birth – You need to provide your DOB as it appears on the applicant’s class 10th certificate.
- Aadhaar Card Number – Enter your Aadhaar number, if it is available.
- Category – Select your category from the drop-down menu
- Mother‘s Name and Citizenship – This is a mandatory field to be filled by the candidate.
- Address Details - Enter details for your permanent address and correspondence address.
Step 4: Provide your Bank Details
In this section, the candidates need to provide their Bank details for the refund of fee in case of cancellation of admission. You shall have to enter your bank account number and IFSC and other important details.
Step 5: Enter your Academic Details
In this section, candidates must enter all the relevant academic details such as the marks obtained in class 10th and class 12th for the undergraduate level courses. For the postgraduate level courses candidates will also be required to enter their marks obtained in the graduation degree.
Step 6: Merit-based Course Selection
In this section, you will have to select any number of courses (where admission is based on merit) based on the eligibility criteria. In this section, the candidates need to select any number of courses (where admission is based on the entrance) based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
