The Delhi University kept its students, who are seeing admission through extra-curricular activities, on their toes as it made them wait for the results till the eleventh hour. The preliminary trial results, which got over by Wednesday, were not up in the website of the university by as late as 6 pm. The final trials were scheduled to begin from 9 am on Friday and many candidates had no idea about their results before 9 hours of the final trials, whether they had made it or not.
While detailed guidelines were issued in the university website regarding the final trials early in the morning, the university did not issue the list of selected candidates through the preliminary trials till 6 pm. Even when the list was uploaded in the website, there was not link of the same in the home page, keeping many of the students in dark on where to find the results. Students who had taken multiple events in their preliminary trials had to face the most trouble as many had found that their final trial dates have clashed for two different activities.
However, the Deputy Dean of Students’ Welfare Gurpreet Tuteja has stated that written directive in all such matters have been sent to DU colleges where the final trials would take place.
