DU in Trouble with Hindi Examination Paper Resembling FYUP Paper
DU again faced hard criticism with its financial management paper from BCom. The question paper was set out of the syllabus and resembled the former FYUP batch questions.
Done with the fiasco regarding the financial management paper for BCom recently, Delhi University has come in news all over again for all the wrong reasons. The Hindi department prepared a question paper for the semester students which was out of syllabus and resembled the former FYUP batch questions. After receiving the paper the students seemed to be in a shock and complained to the invigilators who then brought the matter to the examination branch. The examination finally got cancelled and accepting the fault the Hindi department has decided to reschedule the examination on 05 December.
The third semester students who were giving the examination were the only FYUP batch who got admission last year. The FYUP programme which was of four years was introduced in 2013-14 and all the students were admitted under honors courses and need to opt for various allied papers as well. The allied papers included subjects like Hindi, history, Hindi Patrakarita, Italian journalism, Persian among others.
The exam on ‘Adhunik Kavita’ which is a Hindi allied exam was schedule on Tuesday which was offered by around 20 colleges. After receiving the paper the students complained about the matter that the question is out of their syllabus and demanded action for the same. The invigilators then contacted the university examination branch which further contacted the Hindi department for clarification and finally cancelled the examination.
