Exam Pattern of DU Entrance Exam 2018 –

Exam mode – The DU entrance exam for all UG courses will be conducted in Computer based mode only.  There will be written examination for B.Sc. in PE, HE & Sports.

Exam Duration The UG entrance exam of DU will be of two hours duration.

Type of questions – There will be multiple choice based questions only.

Test language – The question paper will be provided in English as well as Hindi language.

Entrance Exam Syllabus – The questions in the DU entrance exam will be based on syllabus of Class 10+2 level for the subjects.  Only the syllabus for Bachelor of Elementary Education will be up to Class 10th level.

Total questions – There will be 100 MCQs in entrance exam paper of each course.

Total Marks – The total marks for the DU entrance exam is 400.

Marking Scheme Each question has been allotted 4 marks and there will be negative marking of one mark in case of wrong attempts.

  • 5 yr Integrated Programme in Journalism - General Awareness, Media Awareness, Current   Affairs, English Comprehension, Grammatical and Analytical Skills, and Logical Reasoning and Basic Mathematics Skills
  • B.Sc. in PE, HE & Sports – Health, Physical Education, Sports and General Knowledge
  • Bachelor of Elementary Education – English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social science
  • B.A. (Hons) in Humanities & Social Sciences – General Awareness, Current Affairs, General Knowledge, Communication skills (English/Hindi), Logical Reasoning and Analytical  Ability

Exam Pattern of DU JAT 2018:

The admissions to UG courses i.e. B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, BMS, and BBA (FIA) will be done on basis of DU Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) i.e. there will be single test for these courses. Candidates can check here features of DU JAT 2018 –

Test DurationThe entrance exam duration will be of two hours only.

Type of Questions – The question paper of DU JAT 2018 will be based on objective type questions with four choices each.

DU Entrance Exam 2018 Selection Criteria

The selection of candidates will be done on basis of merit list for DU Entrance Exam 2018. It will be prepared on basis of marks scored by candidates in their respective entrance exam. There will be separate merit list for each course of DU Entrance Exam 2018.

The selection criteria for DU JAT 2018 is –

  • Entrance Test: 65%
  • Qualifying Examination: 35%

Moreover, the candidates must have obtained minimum marks in the Class 12th qualifying examination or equivalent as  mentioned in the table provided below –

60% marks in the qualifying examination in aggregate of four subjects i.e. English, Mathematics, and any two subjects from List A

B.Tech (ITMI)

60% marks in the qualifying examination in aggregate of four subjects (including Mathematics).

B.A. (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences

60% marks in the qualifying examination in aggregate of four subjects.

Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El.Ed.)

50% marks in the qualifying examination in aggregate of four subjects including one subject from List I and three subjects from List II or One from List I and two from List II and One subject from List III.

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports (B.Sc. [PE,HE &S])

45% in aggregate of one language and three best subjects in the qualifying examination.

B.A. (Honours) Multimedia and Mass Communication

75% in aggregate of ‘BEST FOUR’ subjects including 85% marks in English language the qualifying examination.

Five-Year Integrated Programme in Journalism in Delhi School of Journalism

50% in aggregate of all five subjects in 10+2 level qualifying examination.
