DU will convert grades into marks for foreign boards

Jun 7, 2013 15:33 IST

For aspirants from Cambridge School Certificate/ Malayam/ Overseas/ African GCE and/ 12th Grade Examination of American Embassy School who seek admission to courses in DU, the Delhi University has decided to go with the conversion of grades into percentage of marks as awarded in CBSE.

The equivalent marks will be calculated on the principle that the mid-point of the marks range specified for a particular grade is considered as the percentage of marks awarded to the candidate.

For example: In case a student has got the grade 7, his or her CBSE equivalent percentage of marks range will be between 96 and 100 with the mid-point 98 that will be considered to be the marks awarded to the student. Then, all the CBSE equivalent marks for the four subjects will be processed together to derive the aggregate percentage on the basis of which the student will be granted admission.
