EWS Students to be Coached by Delhi University for PG Courses

    The Delhi University has declared that it will coach the economically weaker section students to crack the university’s post-graduate programme entrance tests which are going to get conducted by the university soon. It the website of DU it was mentioned that the university is inviting applicants for the ‘programme of free classes’ for the students who belong to the economically weaker sections of the society and economically backward minority communities.

    The University holds classes for commerce, law and bio-medical science presently. This year’s dates for ‘Pre-Entrance Summer School’ has been decided to be 30 May to 13 June, 2016. According to the notification in the website, “Economically weaker section (EWS/BPL), SC, ST, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and minorities have to apply online at www.du.ac.in or app.du.ac.in by midnight, Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Not everyone will get in since seats are limited. There will be display of list of candidates selected for admission on 26 May 2016.”

    On May 28, 2016 the selected students would get registered and need to undergo an orientation by the university. An admission fee of Rs. 100 would be charged from all the students. Though, the entire schedule of classes for the summer programme is free of cost. The candidates would have to bring their original certificates or qualification and their caste and economy category certificate at the orientation round.  The law and commerce classes would be held on North Campus of the university while the bio-medical science classes would undergo at Acharya Narendra Dev College in Kalkaji.
