Candidates willing to appear for MAT September 2013 exam can choose any one of the two options to take the test:
    1. Paper Based Test
    2. Computer Based Test

The paper based test will be held on 1 September 2013 from 10.00am to 12.30pm while the Computer Based Test will be conducted from Saturday onwards (6 days after the Paper Based Test date) in different time slots.

For the Computer Based Test, if the number of candidates is limited and can be accommodated in a single day, the test will be conducted on 1 September 2013 itself, in different time slots at specific test venues. However, if number of candidates is such that they cannot be accommodated in one day then the test will be held on all week days from 7 September 2013 onwards.

The MAT test is conducted to assess candidates’ knowledge in five different test areas primarily Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Indian and Global Environment. The test is an objective type test with multiple-choice answers. The 150 minute test is designed to measure a person’s general aptitude and question paper has 5 sections with 40 questions in each section. The candidates are required to answer these 200 questions in the given time of two and a half hours.

A candidate can appear for the Computer based September 2013 MAT test only on one date.

For Computer Based Test it is assumed that the candidate has basic familiarity with use of computers like use of keyboard and mouse operation.

Till May 2009, MAT was only a Paper based Test, but from September 2009, MAT is being conducted in both the formats-Paper based and Computer based.
