The aspirants who are willing to pursue a foreign language course then here is the good news for you as many colleges will now offer part-time certificate courses in French, German, Russian and many other ‘exotic’ languages. The attractive part of these courses is that there are no high cutoff criteria for these courses and open for everyone.
Rajendra Prasad, Principal of Ramjas College, said that admission is available on a first come, first serve basis. The teachers will be hired from the university department.
Pradyum Kumar, Principal of Hindu college, said that they have tied up with outside franchises of foreign languages. They are offering Spanish, German, and French from the previous year however Chinese, Korean and Japanese might be included. They are seeking approval for commencing these courses.
Hans Raj College Principal, V.K Kawatra said that Classes for this course will be conducted in the evening after the completion of regular courses and there will be no weekend classes as well, as they have no sufficient space.
There are many differences between this certificate course and the four-year undergraduate courses in languages as there is no entrance test and cutoff is necessary for this certificate course.
