FMS Delhi Cut-offs for MBA Admission 2018

FMS Delhi has altered their MBA Admission 2018 shortlisting criteria for MBA aspirants, making it more tough for CAT 2017 test-takers to get admission to the reputed B-school. As part of this change, the FMS Delhi has reduced the overall weight attached to CAT 2017 scores from 85% last year to only 60% this year. In addition to this, FMS Delhi is also expected to consider sectional percentile weight for the selection of candidates.

Many 99 percentilers expected to miss FMS Delhi Cut-offs

Owing to the changed selection criteria for the FMS Delhi 2018 admissions, many 99 percentilers are expected to lose their seats to MBA aspirants who have scored below them. This would primarily be because of the sectional cut-offs, which would decide the final selection or shortlisting of the candidate for admission. The sectional weight attached to each of the CAT 2017 sections is given in the table below:

    CAT 2017 section

    % Weightage

    Quantitative Ability (QA)

    Total

    100

As per the table given above, a 99 percentiler who didn’t score well in VARC section might lose his / her seat to a 97 or 98 percentiler who has scored full marks in this section.
