Foreign students will be allowed for pursuing courses in IITs, NITs & IISERs

From the next academic session, foreign students will be allowed to take admission in the premiere educational institutes of the country like IIT, NIT and IISER. Admission will be available for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

From the next academic session, foreign students will be allowed to take admission in the premiere educational institutes of the country like IIT, NIT and IISER. Admission will be available for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

IITs and the other leading institutions fare poorly in the global ranking. Attracting foreign nationals and NRIs can boost the global ranking. Availability of various courses and low course fee are the sole reasons that can attract outsiders.

In the first move the GATE 2017 will be held in UAE, Bangladesh, Nepal, Ethiopia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The examination will be held in February 2017 for granting admission to MTech/ ME / PhD courses. Read more about GATE 2017 here
