Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 examination’s result has been declared by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee on Sunday (March 26) on its official website appsgate.iitr.ac.in. GATE 2017 Exam is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude.
The GATE examination was held in the month of February and the final answer keys were released in March. As per the official website, GATE 2017 scorecard download will be enabled shortly. The candidates who have successfully qualified GATE 2017 Examination can download the scorecard till May 5, 2017 only.
Steps to download GATE 2017 Exam:
1. Do login to the official website of GATE i.e. appsgate.iitr.ac.in
2. Enter enrollment id, password and other details.
3. Take the print out of the GATE 2017 result for the future reference.
Advantage of GATE Score:
GATE score is used as the criteria for admission to M.Tech. at IITs, IISc and other universities. It is also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organisations such as cabinet secretariat, and national and state public sector undertakings in India. GATE qualified candidates with good scores are paid scholarships or assistantship, especially funded by the ministry of human resources development and by other ministries.
