The placement drive in the Delhi Technological University this year has made a history when a Computer Engineering student managed to bag a job offer of Rs. 93 lakh per annum. Started on August 1, this placement season has skimmed up to 265 jobs being offered to DTU students by around 40 national and international recruiters.
The Google, USA offered a job of Rs. 93 lakh per annum (which includes about 125 Google stock units) to Himanshu Jindal, the Computer Engineering student. “I owe my thanks to my parents, faculty members and, of course, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.B. Sharma. I am feeling very happy that I will get to work in a world renowned company. All this is possible because of my hard work and the blessings of my parents,” stated Himanshu about his career success.
The second highest job package was of Rs. 70 lakhs and it has been offered by EPIC, a US- based software company, to 11 DTU students.
Among other such aw-inspiring offers include a Rs. 28 lakh pay roll from Goldman Sachs and a package of Rs. 19 lakhs offered to eight students each by Amazon.
As revealed by the university’s spokesperson, the other major highlight of this year’s placement season has been that besides making fabulous job offers to final year students, many leading companies have also offered a paid internship to potential third year students. We can say this will ensure even better pre-placement jobs to our students, said the official.
