High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Assistants in Civil Court and Clerks in C.B.I. Courts, in Family Courts and in Gram Nayayalayas on temporary basis. Interested candidates should send their applications to “The Registrar General, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi” or apply online through Jharkhand HC’s official website www.jharkhandhighcourt.nic.in till 3 January 2014.

For Assistants in Civil Courts: Pay scale of Rs. 5200 - 20200 with grade pay of Rs. 2400
For Clerks in C.B.I. Courts, Family Courts and Gram Nayayalayas: Pay scale of Rs. 5200 - 20200 with grade pay of Rs. 1900
Age limit: (as on 1 January 2014)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 35 years
(Maximum age limit is relax-able up to the age of 37 years for EBC / MBC (Schedule-I) and BC (Schedule-II) category candidates and up to the age of 38 years for female (General, EBC / BC-I and BC-II category candidates) and up to the age of 40 years in case of SC, ST and PH category candidates.)
Qualifications: Graduate, well acquainted with the computer application and typing on computers at the speed of 15 words / minute.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in written test followed by viva-voce test.
Candidates qualifying the test of knowledge of working on computer (type a 105 words passage in 7 minutes on a Desktop Computer and burn the same in a CD within next 10 minutes) and viva-voce test will be considered for appointment.
A merit list of successful candidates will be prepared and the appointment will be done strictly from this panel of successful candidates.
Schedule of examination and venue will be announced later on.
Admit Cards indicating the date of examination and venue will be sent to the short-listed candidates by post.
Examination Fees: Examination fees of Rs. 500 (for General, OBC & other category candidates) / Rs. 125 (for SC & ST category candidates) has to be paid in the form of Banker's Cheque / Bank Draft/ Postal orders drawn in favour of "Registrar General, High Court of Jharkhand”, payable at Ranchi.
How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can either apply online through the official website of the High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi www.jharkhandhighcourt.nic.in or by sending the duly filled-in application form along with attested copies of required certificates / testimonials, one self addressed unstamped envelope, 3 recent passport size photographs and examination fee (Banker's cheque/ Bank Draft/ Postal Order ) to “The Registrar General, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi” by Registered Post / Speed Post only ill 3 January 2014.
Candidates applying online will have to pay the examination fee online only.
On the envelope containing the application form, candidates must super-scribe “Application for the post of Assistant in Civil Court’s and other Court’s”.
One envelope should contain one application only.
NOTE: Reservation policy of the State Government will apply and the benefit of the same shall be given to the candidate belonging to the State of Jharkhand only. Reserved category candidates from other states shall be treated as General category candidates.
Candidates would be required to indicate name of 3 districts in order of preference where they would desire to be posted in the event of selection in the Civil Court’s/C.B.I. Courts/Family Courts/Gram Nayayalaya.
