HRD Ministry to Enhance Education Sector with AISHE

To revamp the education system of the country, the Ministry of Human Resource Development will soon launch an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2014-15.

To revamp the education system of the country, the Ministry of Human Resource Development will soon launch an All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2014-15. The new survey will be web based and it will be conducted annually that will give an idea about the state of higher education in our country from 2010-11 onwards.

AISHE will also conduct research on various areas like faculty details, number of students that are enrolled, various types of programmes, results of examination, accreditation, education finance, the infrastructure, different scholarship programmes and so on, that will help the HRD ministry to take up decisions to enhance the education system of the country.

The HRD ministry has till now notified two final reports for AISHE 2011-12 and also for AISHE 12-13, that is now available over the web. With the help of these reports, the Government of India is likely to take up various initiative, recommendations and allotment of some new policies for development of education sector of the nation.
