The IAS Prelims Exam 2014 was conducted in two Shifts. The timing of the first shift was 9.30 to 11.30 and The General Studies II (CSAT) Paper was conducted in the second shift started at 2.30 p.m.
The General Studies Paper I is one of the toughest paper because very extensive and in-depth studies are required to qualify the IAS Prelims
The anticipated number of Candidates appearing for this year is around 4 to 5 Lakhs due to the large number of Seats Notified and the relaxation in the age criteria notified by the Government and later by Union Public Service Commission.
