    IAS topper 2012 Raj Kamal Yadav (21st Rank) explains the right strategy for IAS prelim exam in an interview given to Kunal Jha of jagranjosh.com.
    In the video, he provides guidance on several matters including which books to refer while preparing for preliminary, how to attempt right questions during examination hour  and the very nature of prelim exam itself.

    Significantly, he tells the viewers the importance of current affairs and in what form it is asked in the exam. According to Raj Kamal Yadav, questions are indirectly asked from current affairs with lot of emphasis on basic facts and figures associated with the news. Just being aware of the news is not suffice to crack prelim but a sound knowledge of  basic concepts is essential at this stage.

    The final result of Civil Services exam 2012 was declared on 3 May 2013.
