ICAR-IIHR Recruitment 2016 for 22 Research Associate and Other Posts

ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR) invited applications for the post of Research Associate and Other Posts. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 30 June 2016.

Eligibility for Research Associate (All India Network Project- Vertebrate Pest Management Monkey Studies”)- M. Sc. In Agricultural Science (Plant Protection/ Agricultural Entomology/ Animal Science) + 2 years of Research Experience / Ph. D with experience in Vertebrate pest management practice and excellent knowledge in working with computer.

Eligibility for SRF (ICAR extramural project on “Developing Vegetable Soybean for rust resistance”)- M.Sc (Horticulture – Vegetable Science) / M.Sc (Agriculture / Horti – Plant Breeding & Genetics) / M.Sc (Agiriculture – Plant Pathology)

Eligibility for Field Assistant (ICAR extramural project on “Developing Vegetable Soybean for rust resistance”)- SSLC Pass preferable with prior experience in Lab and Field work, especially in Vegetable Crops

Eligibility for Research Associate (Agri Business Incubation (ABI) project)- 1.Graduation in any Agricultural Science OR Life Science with MBA/ Agri-Business Management (ABM) Post Graduate Diploma in technology Management in Agriculture or IPR with working knowledge in preparing Business proposals Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field

Eligibility for SRF (DBT Project on Molecular Markers for WBNV Resistance in Watermelon)- M. Sc. Agriculture (Plant Pathology) with 2 years’ Experience

Eligibility for Technical Assistant (ICAR-Extramural Project “Design and Development of Indigenous Grafting Machine for Vegetable Crops”)- Diploma (Welder or Turner or Fitter) ITI Certificate (Welder or Turner or Fitter) with Two Years’ Experience

Eligibility for Skilled Assistant (ICAR-Extramural Project “Design and Development of Indigenous Grafting Machine for Vegetable Crops”)- ITI Certificate (Welder or Turner or Fitter) SSLC Pass with Two Years’ Experience in Agricultural/ Horticultural Machinery Fabrication.

Eligibility for Lab Assistant (ICAR-Extramural Project “Design and Development of Indigenous Grafting Machine for Vegetable Crops”)-.PUC / 12th Std. with Knowledge in Computer.

Eligibility for Young Professional l – I (KAPC Sponsored policy Study on “Supply Management of Perishable Vegetables – Case of Onion and Tomato”- B.Sc (Horticulture) / B.Sc (Agricultural Marketing) / B.Sc (Agriculture) / Diploma in Agriculture

Eligibility for Skilled Labour- 7 th Standard

Eligibility for Field / Lab Assistant (ICAR –Extramural project on “Collection, conservation and characterization of indigenous pickling Mango varieties of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala”)- SSLC Pass preferable with prior experience in Lab / Fieldwork.

Eligibility for Young Professional– II- Post Graduate in Statistics /Agriculture Statistics with specialization in sampling techniques

Eligibility for JRF (DBT – Bio-CARe programme entitled “Towrds Tropicalization of Broccoli (Brassia Oleraceaa L.Var. italic) a temperate Crop: Molecular mechanism of vernalization)- M.Sc – Biotechnology /Plant Physiology /Biochemistry with NET /GATE M. (Hort) in Vegetable Science / Crop Improvement & Biotechnology M.Sc in Genetics / Botany with NET qualification with 2 years research Experience M.Tech in Biotechnology

Eligibility for Technical Assistant (Flagship programme –Diversification of male sterile lines to increase the efficiency of F1 hybrids in hot and bell peppers (Capsicum annuum L.)’-Degree in Science / Commerce / Arts

Eligibility for Skilled Assistant (Flagship programme –Diversification of male sterile lines to increase the efficiency of F1 hybrids in hot and bell peppers (Capsicum annuum L.)’-SSLC Pass

Eligibility for Technical Person (DUS -Preparation for plant Variety Protection and DUS testing through ICAR-SAU system)- B.Sc in Horticulture (Veg. Science), /Plant Breeding & Genetics, Botany/ plant pathology, Entomology / Microbiology with more than one year experience in |Evaluation and Characterization of varieties / Hybrid as per Nation DUS Test Guidelines in Tomato, Brinjal, Okra and Garden pea.

Eligibility for SRF (ICAR – Extramural Project: “Characterization and Epidemiology of Phyto plasmas Infecting Major Horticultural Crops”) -M.Sc in Agril. Entomology OR M.Sc in Zoology with NET qualification with 2 years research Experience

Eligibility for Skilled Assistants (ICAR Extramural Project: “Scaled up production & Field evaluation of Bt”)- 10th Pass with Experience in insect rearing and field and lab work

Eligibility for Unskilled Worker (ICAR Extramural Project: “Scaled up production & Field evaluation of Bt”)- 6 with experience in field work th standard

Eligibility for Young Professional – IORP on Management of Sucking Pests in Horticultural Crops)-  B.Sc Agril. Biotech /B.Sc. in Biochemistry /Biotechnology

Eligibility for SRF (CABin Project)- M.Tech (Bioinformatics) M.Sc in Bioinformatics / Biochemistry with GATE qualification with 2 years research Experience

Eligibility for Technical Assistant (DUS Project entitled “Establishment of DUS nodal centre at IIHR for Jasmine Floricultural Crops” funded by PPV & FRA)- PUC passed or equivalent

Eligibility for Young Professional– I (RC fund from Division of Plant Physiology & Biochemistry)- B.Sc Hort / Biotech / Chemistry / Botany / Biochemistry of any Science Graduation

Eligibility for Young Professional– I (Post – Harvest loss assessment of fruits under ICAR – AICRP on Fruits)- B.Sc (Agi / Hort/ Forestry) or any branches in Biological Sciences.

Eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format and send the applications along with other necessary documents to the Principal Investigator/ Co-Principal Investigator of the above Ad-hoc projects/schemes, at IIHR, Bengaluru.
