Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences invited application for recruitment to the post of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant professor and Nursing tutor. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 31 May 2013. Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) was established in compliance with the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in response to a public interest litigation in 1993. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Act 1860, funded jointly by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and Government of NCT of Delhi.

Educational Qualification

  • Professor (Medical): A Medical qualification included in the I or II scheduled or part II of the III schedule to the IMC Act of 1956. A Postgraduate qualification eg. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. And/orM.Ch. For surgical and D.M. for medical superspecialties or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 14 Years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject to speciality after obtaining the qualification degree of MD/MS or 12 years after obtaining M.Ch/D.M. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Out of which at least 3 years experience as Additional Professor level or 6 years at Associate Professor level.

 

  • Professor (Non-medical): P.G. qualification e.g. Master degree, in the discipline/allied subject. A doctorate degree in the concerned discipline from recognized University. 14 years teaching/research/experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree. Out of which at least 3 years experience at Additional Professor level or 6 years at Associate Professor level.

 

  • Additional Professor (Medical): A Medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part II of the III schedule to the IMC Act of 1956. A postgraduate qualifications e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent-thereto in the respective discipline/subject. And/or M.Ch. for surgical and D.M. for medical super specialities or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 10 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS/MD or 8 years after obtaining M.Ch. /D.M. of qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Out of which at least 4 years teaching experience at Associate Professor level.

 

  • Additional Professor (Non-medical): A post graduate qualification e.g. Master Degree in the discipline speciality or equivalent. A Doctorate degree like Ph. D. in the concerned speciality from a recognized university or a recognized qualification equivalent – thereto in the respective discipline/subject. 10 years teaching/research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree. Out of which at least 4 years teaching experience at Associate Professor level.

 

  • Associate Professor (Medical): A Medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part I of the III schedule to the IMC Act of 1956. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. And/or M. Ch. for surgical superspecialties and D.M. for medical superspecialties or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. 6 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MS/MD or 4 years after obtaining M.Ch. /D.M. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Out of which at least 3 years teaching experience at Assistant Professor level.

 

  • ·         Associate Professor (Non-medical): A post graduate qualification e.g. Master Degree in the discipline speciality or equivalent. 2. A doctorate degree like Ph. D. in the concerned speciality from a recognized university.6 years teaching/research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree. Out of which at least 3 years teaching experience as Assistant Professor level.

 

  • Assistant Professor (Neurology): A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or Part II of the III schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. (Candidates possessing the qualifications included in Part-II of the III Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in the Section 13(3) of the Act.)DM in Neurology i.e., requisite recognized specialisation qualification in the subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

 

  • Assistant Professor (Medical): A Medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or Part II of the III schedule to the IMC Act of 1956. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject. And/or M.Ch. for surgical and D.M. for medical superspecialties or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. For General Disciplines: 03 years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or qualification equivalent thereto. For Superspecialties Discipline: 01 years after obtaining M.Ch. /D.M. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

 

  • Assistant Professor (Non-medical): Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master Degree in the discipline/ allied subject. A doctorate degree/Ph.D of a recognized University in the respective discipline. 3 years teaching/research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.

 

  • Associate Professor (Psychiatric Nursing): 1st or 2nd Class M. Sc. Nursing with specialty in Psychiatry Nursing and Ph. D/D. Sc. in Nursing from recognized University/Institution. 6 years teaching and /or research experience in a recognized institution/hospital in the subject of specialty after obtaining Doctorate Degree. Out of which at lease 3 years teaching experience at Assistant Professor level.

 

  • Assistant Professor (Psychiatric Nursing): 1st or 2nd class M. Sc. Nursing with specialty in Psychiatry Nursing and Ph. D/D. Sc in Nursing from recognized University/Institution. 3 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution/hospital in the subject of specialty after obtaining Doctorate Degree.

 

  • Nursing Tutor (Sister Tutor): Matriculate, ‘A’ Gd. Certificate in Nursing from recognized Institute, Diploma in Sister Tutor Course or B. Sc. in Nursing and Should be able to speak Hindi preference will be given to female candidate.

 

 

  • ·         Assistant Nursing Tutor (Assistant Sister Tutor): Matriculate, ‘A’ Gd. Certificate in Nursing from recognized Institute, Diploma in Sister Tutor Course or B. Sc. in Nursing and Should be able to speak Hindi preference will be given to female candidate. Registered as Nurse or Midwife in any state Nursing Counsel.

  • Associate Professor:  Rs.37400 – 67000/- + GP Rs.9,000/- + NPA (for Medical Faculty Posts Only)
  • Assistant Professor: Rs.15600 – 39100/- + GP Rs.8000/- + NPA (for Medical Faculty Posts Only)
  • Nursing Tutor (Sister Tutor): Rs. 15600-39100+GP5400
  • Assistant Nursing Tutor (Assistant Sister Tutor): Rs. 9300-34800+GP4800

Part B

  • Associate Professor: Rs.37400 – 67000/- + GP Rs.9,000/- + NPA (for Medical Faculty Posts Only)

Selection process

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Interview. Only short-listed candidates will be called for the interview by the selection committee.
