    Indian Institute of Foreign Trade / IIFT concluded the final MBA placement 2018 registering healthy rise in average salary and highest salary offered to the students. The IIFT Placement 2018 saw 4 students grab international placement offers of Rs 1 crore whereas 7 students managed to get placement packages above Rs 50 lakhs. On a similar note, the average salary at IIFT 2018 Placements also rose to Rs 19.23 Lakhs. All the statistics listed above are higher compared to the numbers registered during last year’s placement programme.

    The positive numbers put out during the IIFT Placement 2018 is clearly indicative of the trust and faith put by both domestic and international business leaders in the quality of management education offered at IIFT.     Rise in number of Placement Offers

    This year, 110 recruiters had registered for the IIFT Placement 2018 process. However, the placements were wrapped in record time with only 94 recruiters getting the change to participate in the placement programme. 16 recruiters didn’t get the chance to participate in the placement process. This trend is indicative of the fact that recruiters extended more number of offers as compared to previous years.

    On a similar note, the number of first time recruiters also saw a healthy rise with 35 new corporates participating in the placement process. Renowned brands such as Arcesium, Avendus Capital, BMW, CP group, Deloitte USI (S&O) EXL, PepsiCo, Tech Mahindra, YES Bank were among the first time recruiters at IIFT 2018 Placements.

    Rise in number of International Offers

    IIFT or Indian Institute of Foreign Trade is a flagship B-school as far as international placements are concerned. Every year, reputed international brands visit IIFT campus to participate in the placement process and this year was no different. In fact, this year registered a significant rise in the number of international offers being extended to the IIFT students.

    Of the total batch, 31 students got international placement offers in different geographic locations such as South America, Thailand, Africa and South-East countries. IIFT 2018 placement saw 55% rise in the number of international offers being extended to the students. In 2017, only 20 students had received offers for international placements.

    IIFT has reaffirmed its position as a leading international B-school in India by securing excellent placement packages for the students.     Top International Recruiters

    AS far as top international recruiters are concerned, IIFT Placement 2018 saw While Olam, TGI, AluZinc, ADM and Phoenix Commodities make excellent offers to the students. Similarly, British Telecom, DBS, Godrej, Hero MotoCorp, Mother Dairy, Shapoorji Pallonji, TetraPak and TVS Motors also recruiters IIFT management students for international roles. The CP Group based out of Thailand recruited for its Future Leaders Program (FLP) for their various business verticals across all domains.

    Domestic Placement Trends

    Along with international placement offers, the IIFT Placement 2018 also saw domestic trends grow at a respectable rate. The rise in the average salary is evident of this fact. The same can be seen in the below-given table:

    As denoted above, both average salary and highest salary offered has seen considerable hike in the recently concluded IIFT Placement 2018.

    Top Domestic Recruiters

    Along with being renowned for international placements, IIFT is also a benchmark as far as placement in trade related roles is concerned. This year also, top corporate brands from the trade domain visited IIFT campus to participate in the placement process.

    Number of PPOs rise

    This year, of the total batch of 288 students, 93 students got PPOs or Pre-placement offers, which marks increase of 29.10%. Last year, the number of PPOs received by the students stood at 74. The increasing number of PPOs exhibit growing trust and faith of corporates in the management education imparted by IIFT and showcases the calibre of students who are job ready and prepared to take upon business challenges right out of college campus.
