IIM Shillong Final placement 2015 completed with average package of 13.04 lakhs

    IIM Shillong has completed the placements for its sixth Post Gaduate Programme (PGP) batch with an average salary of Rs 13.04 lakh and the highest package standing at Rs. 21 lakh. The institute issued an statement saying that the number of offers of Rs 15 lakh and more has gone up by 30%.

    Cognizant gave the maximum number of offers with 12 offers in its business consulting and business development domains while HSBC made 10 offers in investment banking and equity research. The top 5 recruiters made 37% of the total offers.

    42 companies participated in the placement process making 130 offers in total. Companies like HSBC, Deloitte, Nomura, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ICICI, Cognizant, Wipro, HCL, KPMG and GSK Pharma have been regular at the institute. Others such as Google, American Express, L'Oreal, Flipkart, Perfetti Van Melle, Hero MotoCorp and J.P.Morgan made their debut on the Shillong campus.

    Out of the 119 students of the sixth batch of IIM Shillong PGP batch, 118 students sat for the placement process while 1 student opted out to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions.

    Around 21% of the batch received pre- placement offers (PPOs). Overall, 28% of the offers made were in the sales & marketing domain while the finance domain closely followed with 27%.

    IIM Shillog thus performed splendidly keeping the trach record of IIMs intact.
