IIMs to planning for fees hike from next academic session

New Delhi:  After Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad announced a fee hike for its Post Graduate courses from the coming academic year, other Management Institutes just followed its footsteps and are in process to hike their fee for the PG courses.

New Delhi:  After Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad announced a fee hike for its Post Graduate courses from the coming academic year, other Indian just followed its footsteps and are in process to their fee for the PG courses.

Institutes like IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta and IIM Indore are likely to increase the fee for PG courses. IIM Ahmedabad has announced a fee hike of 11.44% for the 2015-17 batch in its PG programmes in management and PG food and agribusiness management.

On this, the Director of IIM Indore said that they will not be increasing their fee for the next year. There has to be a certain balance between fees and affordability. This wise decision has been taken keeping in mind the accesibility of students to the course.  

Contrary to this decision of fee hike, Director of IIM Indore kept another aspect as a solution to this problemof finding other ways to combat hike in structure. Even other Director of IIM Calcutta also said that the institute has no plans to increase the fees.
