IIT JAM 2018 registration process has started from September 5. The last date to apply online is 10th October 2017. Those who are interested can apply online through its official website www.jam.iitb.ac.in.
About the exam: Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) is being conducted every year to provide admission to various courses like M.Sc. (Four Semesters), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D, Dual Degree and Integrated Ph.D. Degree Programmes at prestigious institutes like IITs and IISc. IIT Bombay will conduct IIT JAM 2018 Examination this time. IIT JAM 2018 Examination will be conducted ONLINE (CBT i.e., Computer Based Test).
Procedure to apply for IIT JAM 2018 Examination: Engineering aspirants can follow these steps listed below to apply for IIT JAM 2018 Examination through online.
Step 1: Go to the official website of IIT JAM 2018 i.e. www.jam.iitb.ac.in/
Step 2: Click on ‘Applicant Login (JOAPS)’ at the top on the right side of the page.
Step 3: Now, students will have to register by entering their Name, Email address, Mobile number and Password.
Step 4: Follow the guidelines to upload your recent scanned photograph and signature.
Step5: Pay the required Examination fee

Important points related to IIT JAM 2018 Examination:
1. There is no requirement of sending the hardcopies of the documents to the organizing Institute i.e., IIT Bombay.
2. Students can apply only through online mode.
3. There will be Seven Test papers in IIT JAM 2018 Examination and all are of objective type.
4. There will be three types of questions in IIT JAM 2018 Examination namely
(a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ),
(b) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and
(c) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
5. There will be no additional requirements like suitability test or interview to take admission through IIT JAM 2018 Examination.
