Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi issued notification inviting applications for filling up 11 Administrative Posts at IARI Head quarters, New Delhi and its Regional Stations under the administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Interested candidates should send their applications to the Administrative Officer, IARI, New Delhi within 30 days from the date of publication of the Advertisement in Employment News i.e. till 15 January 2014.

Name of the Post: Stenographer

No. of vacancies: 7 posts

Grade: Grade - III

Pay Scale: PB – 1 of Rs. 50200 – 20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2400

Place of posting: IARI, New Delhi (for all posts)

Qualifications: Class 12th OR equivalent; Candidates will have to qualify an Efficiency Test.

Name of the Post: Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

No. of vacancies: 4 posts

Pay Scale: PB –1 of Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900

Place of posting: IARI, New Delhi (1 post);  Aduthrai, TN (1 post);  Wellington, TN (2 posts); 

Qualifications: Class 12th OR equivalent; Candidates will have to qualify an Efficiency Test. 

Age Limit: (as on 1 July 2013)

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 27 years;

45 years for regular ICAR employees

Upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates will be relax-able as per rules.

Efficiency Test

For Stenographer: Dictation test in English / Hindi at 80 words per minute for 10 minutes. Candidates who opt to take the test in English and Hindi will have to transcribe the matter in 50 minutes and 65 minutes respectively on computer.

For LDC: Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English / 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written exam / Efficiency Test and Interview / Aptitude test.  

Candidates qualifying the written exam / Efficiency Test will be called for Interview / Aptitude test.

The Efficiency Test -– Typing / Stenography test -- for the posts of LDC / Stenographer Gr. III will be held at New Delhi. The Employment Exchange Registration should be valid on the closing date of receipt of application.

NOTE: All posts are temporary but likely to continue.

Selected candidates may be transferred to any Regional Station of IARI / ICAR Institute

The posting of the selected candidates will be made as per their merit at the IARI HQ and its Regional Station i.e. Indore / Karnal / Katrain / Pune / Pusa Bihar / Shimla / Wellington / Adhuturai / Kalimpong / Dharwad.

Travel Allowance: Un-employed SC / ST candidates will be paid to & fro IInd Class Train fare / ordinary Bus fare by the shortest route.

Reimbursement will be allowed only once i.e. when called for Typing / Stenography Test. Candidate claiming for TA will have to submit the original bus / railway ticket and also a certificate of unemployment from the concerned authority.

Application Fees: Non – refundable application fees has to be paid through a crossed Bank Demand Draft of Rs. 750 drawn in favour of ‘Director, I.A.R.I.’ payable at New Delhi.

SC/ ST / Women and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fees. 

Candidate must mention his / her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their applications, in the prescribed Performa,  along with attested copies of relevant documents / certificate and Fee DD to “The Administrative Officer (P- II Section),  Directorate, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi - 110 012” so as to reach the concerned authority by the prescribed last date.

Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate application for each post.

Name of the post applied for must be clearly indicated on the envelope along with sender's name and address.
