Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invited applications from Indian Scientists for ICAR National Fellows till 15 May 2013. A total of 6 candidates will be selected as ICAR National Fellows to promote and facilitate excellence in agricultural research and education and recognize the meritorious contribution of individual agricultural scientists/teachers.
Candidates who work in ICAR- Agricultural University system as Associate Professors/ Senior Scientists/ Research Scientists for a minimum period of 10 years (of which 3 years as Senior Scientist/Associate Professor) and are not above 45 years of can apply. The candidates applying for ICAR National Fellows should have demonstrated excellence through individual contributions and achievements in basic research in agriculture and allied sciences including veterinary science.
Candidates selected for the post will be enjoy perks equivalent to to the position of a Professor/ Principal Scientist in the Pay Band-IV of Rs 37,400 – 67,000 with Research Grade Pay of Rs 10,000 per month or as applicable/ revised from time to time. The candidates will be initially appointed for the post of 5 years which can be extended to the next tenure of same duration depending on the performance.
Candidates will be initially shortlisted via two way process starting with submission of concept note about the proposed research programme by candidates followed by call for detailed project proposal from the shortlisted candidates based on the merit of the concept note.
