Eligibility Criterion:

Maximum Age Limit: 50 years (as on 17 December 2013).

Educational Qualification: M.B.B.S., with Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the related specialty, Doctorate of Medicine (DM) or Magister Chirurgie (M.CH.) or equivalent with 3 years experience in the concerned super –specialty.

Candidate should be enrolled in any state medical register and have completed compulsory rotatory internship.

For Gen / SC / OBC category candidates:

157.5 Cms (for male candidates) / 142 Cms (for female candidates)

For candidates falling in the categories of Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunanchal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K:

155.5 Cms (for male candidates) / 140 Cms (for female candidates)

For ST category candidates:

154.5 Cms (for male candidates) / 139 Cms (for female candidates)

Chest:

Unexpanded: 177 Cms

Expanded: 82 Cms

Not applicable for female candidates.

Weight: Proportionate to height and age for both male and female candidates.

Candidate must not have knock–knee, flat feet or squint in eyes and should possess high-grade colour vision. The candidates will be tested for colour vision by Ishiahara’s test.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview, his / her position in the merit list and candidate clearing the prescribed medical examination.

Selected candidates will have to undergo basic training and such other courses as prescribed in the Force from time to time.

Candidates appointed to the cadre shall be on probation for a period of two years

Travel Allowance: Candidates called for Interview will be paid travelling expenses by an ordinary bus or single 2nd class rail fare by the shortest route, from the railway station nearest to the normal place of residence or from which they actually performed the journey, whichever is nearer, to the place of Interview.

Application Fee: Non-refundable Application Fees of Rs. 50 have to be paid in the form of a crossed IPO / Bank Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque drawn in favour of ‘The Accounts Officer, Directorate General, ITBP New Delhi – 03’, payable at New Delhi

SC / ST / Female candidates and Ex-serviceman are exempted from payment of application fees.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their duly filled in application forms, along with attested copies of required certificates / documents / testimonials, fee IPO / DD / Bankers Cheque in Original and 2 self-addressed Rs. 5 stamped envelope by hand or by post to ‘The Deputy Inspector General (Pers), Member Secretary, Medical Officers Selection Board-2013, Directorate General, ITBP, Block-2, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 17 December 2013 (1700 hours).

On the envelope, containing the applications, candidates must super-scribe “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SUPER SPECIALIST MEDICAL OFFICERS GRADE-II (SECOND-IN-COMMAND), in ITBPF –2013”.
