Internship Scheme for Students by HRD Ministry

    In an announcement, The Human Resource Development Ministry has declared that it would introduce a new Internship scheme for students which would be called MHRD Internship Scheme 2014. This internship scheme would be for Indian students who are pursuing their Graduation/ Post Graduation/ Research Studies from any recognized university/institute. The students would be provided with a chance to intern with various departments in Government dealing with the education domain.

    Those students who are presently undergoing their Graduate/ Post Graduate degree or are working in a research programme in subjects like education, social science, science, humanities, management, engineering, ICT and Law from any recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply for the internship programme. The government has planned to start the first batch for its internship from October 1 with taking six students per batch.

    The students who would get selected for the internships are expected to work closely with the HRD Ministry for two months where they can learn quite a lot of new things that can help them in their academic studies as well. The students who would get through to the internship program would be provided a fixed stipend of Rs. 10,000.

    The Government officials who are responsible for taking these internships are expecting the students to grow through the programme and get involved in formulating policies. They can also understand the way various projects get implemented and can give their valuable response and opinions regarding the same.
