Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission issued notification for conducting Forest Protection Force Examination for filling up 15 posts of Assistant Director.  The Examination will be held at Srinagar and Jammu on dates to be notified later. Interested candidate, residents of Jammu and Kashmir only, should send their applications till 16 May 2013.

Examination Details

Examination Name: Forest Protection Force Examination

Post to be filled: The Assistant Director  

Vacancies: 15 posts

 

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2013)

Minimum: 18 years.

Maximum: 37 years

 

Upper age limit for SC / ST candidates and for those already in state Government Service is 40 years.

 

Educational Qualification: B.Sc. (Forestry) or equivalent from any University recognized by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research.

 

Physical Standard

Minimum Height: 163 cm

Chest girth (Fully expanded): 84 cm

Chest expansions: minimum 5 cms

 

Candidates are required to obtain a Physical fitness certificate certifying the physical fitness of the candidate along with height and chest measurement from the Chief Medical Officer concerned.

 

Examination Stages: The examination shall be conducted in four stages:

1. Written Test: There will be four subjects in the written examination. The time allowed for each paper shall be three hours.

2. Viva-Voce Test: The test will be of 100 marks

 

3. Walking Test: Walk 25 Kms. in four hours. Date and time for the walking test will be intimated to eligible candidates

 

4. Medical Test: Candidates successful in all the above test will be required to undergo a medical test before the Medical Board.

 

If the Commission considers that the number of applications received is large, then it may hold a preliminary objective type test for short-listing candidates for Main written Examination.

 

Candidates qualifying in the previous stage will be allowed to appear for the next stage.

Appointment orders to selected candidates will be issued by the Government in accordance with the availability of vacancies.

 

How to obtain Application Forms: Application Forms can be obtained from counters of J&K Bank Ltd. opened in the office of J&K Public Service Commission, Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu / office of J&K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground, Srinagar on cash payment of Rs.500 (for Open Merit candidates) / Rs.250 (for reserved category candidates).

 

Candidates will also have to pay Rs.10 as Processing charges.

 

How to Apply

The form for the Forest Protection Force Examination is a scan-able application form (OMR) and will be processed on computerized machines. a dummy application form along with a list showing the code numbers is enclosed with the application form. Candidates are required to obtain the application form as described above, carefully study the dummy application form and then fill in their form.

 

After filling, candidates are required to get the filled in Application Form photocopied and attach attested copies of documents / testimonials with the photocopy of the application form and not with the original application form.

 

Further, they are required to submit the application form, along with the photocopy of the filled up application form and documents/testimonials, at the Commission office at Jammu / Srinagar personally in the special envelop provided by the Commission for the purpose. Candidates can also send the application form by registered post to ‘The Secretary, J&K Public Service Commission, Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu’ OR ‘The Secretary, J&K Public Service Commission, Polo Ground, Srinagar’ so as to reach concerned office on or before 16 May 2013.

 

NOTE: If a candidate does not receive the Admission Card / Roll Number Slip or any other communication regarding his / her candidature for the examination before the conduct of examination, he / she should contact the Commission office at Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu / Polo Ground, Srinagar for obtaining a duplicate copy of Admission Card/Roll Number Slip. All correspondence with the Commission should invariably contain the following particulars:

1. Name and year of the examination;

2. Application form number;

3. Full name of the candidate (in Block letters) with parentage; and

4. Complete postal address as given in the application.

 

No request for withdrawal of candidature received from a candidate fifteen days after the last date for submission of application will be entertained.
