The Janalakshmi Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. and Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) announced the launch of the Jnalakshmi Manipal Institute of Financial Inclusion (JMIFI) on 26 March 2013 and was inaugurated in Bangalore by Ajay Maken, the Union Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India.
MaGE has so far, launched several such joint initiatives with banks and financial institutions. However, this is the first time that MaGE has entered into a similar tie-up with a microfinance institution focused on delivering comprehensive financial services to the financially excluded.
It must be noted that the current programme has been designed for a newly inducted staff, as a three week residential program covering all the aspects of basic delivery of services to the financially excluded.
The course covers the belt of statutory and industry guidelines along with specific feature of products offered and processes followed in JFS.
Once the candidate successfully finishes the training program, he/she would be issued a certificate, which would be the ‘certificate in basic inclusive Financial Services’ by the Janalakshmi Manipal Institute of Financial Inclusion.
