JNVST Eligibility Criteria 2018 –

Eligibility for Class 6th –
- Students who are the locale of where the Navodaya Vidyalaya is situated
- Students must be passed in Class 5th qualifying examination from Government/Govt. Aided, or any other recognised school or ‘B’ certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling from the same district
- They must be between 9 to 13 years of age including all reserved category students
- The student must be appearing for JNV Selection Test for the first time as the second attempt is not allowed.
Eligibility for Class 9th –
- Students must be passed in Class 8th qualifying examination from Government/Govt. Aided, or any other recognised school in the district where NV is situated.
- They must be between 13 to 16 years of age as on May 01 of the year of admission including all reserved category students
- The students must be studied in English or Hindi medium
Eligibility for Class 11th –
- Students must be passed in Class 10th qualifying examination from a recognised school affiliated to CBSE or any state board of education in the district where NV is located.
- They must be between 14 to 18 years of age as on July 01 of the year of admission including all reserved category students
- Students will be eligible for admissions to Class 11th based on their marks obtained in Class 10th board examinations. A merit list will be prepared for determining same.
- The students must be studied in English or Hindi medium
JNVST Application Form 2018 –
The application form for admissions to Navodaya Vidyalayas is available in online mode and students can apply as per the steps mentioned below –
- Visit the official website for JNV admissions 2018 i.e. www.nvshq.org
- Register for new admission by clicking on the link for students registration
- A new page will open up and students need to get the online application form by selecting their state and district and click on ‘Proceed’
- Students need to fill the online application form of Navodaya Vidyalaya Admissions by filling in personal details, Qualifying examination details and preview to upload scanned copies of themselves and their parent
- They need to enter the ‘Captcha’ security code and proceed to submit the application form
- Students can log in with their registered username and password to download the filled in application form and get it printed out for future references.

JNVST Fee Structure 2018 –
- There is no fee for Classes up to 8th including boarding, lodging, uniforms and study material
- The students studying from Class 9th to Class 12th have to pay a nominal fee of Rs. 600 every month. However, children of government employees who have children allowance have to pay Rs. 1500 as fees.
- Students belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST, Girl students, Divyang or belonging to BPL income families have been exempted to pay any fee.
