JEE Advanced 2017 was conducted on 21st May 2017. JEE Advanced is conducted by the seven zonal Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) under the guidance of Joint Admission Board (JAB). For the year 2017, JEE Advanced was organized by IIT Madras. JEE Advanced is the second stage of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and this examination is open for Indian nationals as well as for candidates from foreign countries.
It is a national level examination through which admission to B. Tech, Integrated M. Tech or B. Tech-M. Tech Dual Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Science & Pharmacy is provided in IITs and ISM.
This year after the JEE Main 2017 results were declared, top 2, 20,000 candidates were eligible for JEE Advanced 2017.
In JEE Advanced 2017, there were 2 papers of 3 hours each. Each paper has three parts: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. There were different types of questions which were grouped as sections in all subjects. Marking of the answer was being done on OMR sheet. The instructions of the marking scheme was been given at the starting of each section.
