The analysis of JEE Advanced 2018 are given below:

  1. According to the students, Mathematics was easy and scoring, Physics was of moderate level and Chemistry was the difficult one in paper-1 of JEE Advanced 2018.
  2. In JEE Advanced paper-2, students found Mathematics was tough and lengthy as compared to Physics and Chemistry.
  3. Paper-1 was less calculative as compared to paper-2.
  4. The overall difficulty level of both the papers of JEE Advanced 2018 was moderate.
  5. According to some students, paper-2 was more difficult than paper-1.
  6. The candidates had to round off their answers up to two decimal places in Section B (Integer type questions) of both the papers. The students faced difficulty to answer these types of questions as they were newly introduced in JEE Advanced 2018.
  7. In Section C (Matching Type Questions), there were only two columns.
  8. The total marks of the paper were also reduced to 180 from 183.

Conclusion

JEE Advanced 2018 Paper-2 was more calculative and difficult than paper-1. The candidates had to round off their answers up to two decimal places in integer type questions which made it difficult for students. The total marks of each paper were also reduced to 180 from 183.
