Let the men be M1, M2, …, M10 and women be W1, W2, …, W7. 6 person is chosen in a committee so that it contain atleast 3 men and 2 women.
So, the six member committee can contain 4 men and 2 women or 3 men and 3 women.
Let W1 and W2 do not want to be on the same committee.
Q. A rectangular sheet of fixed perimeter with sides having their length in the ratio 8 : 15 is converted into an open rectangular box by folding after removing squares of equal area from all four corners. If the total area of removed squares is 100, the resulting box has maximum volume. The lengths of the sides of the rectangular sheet are
