# JEE Advanced 2019: Top 2.45 lakh candidates to be shortlisted using JEE Main AIR, Check details here

The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has released the Information Brochure for JEE Advanced 2019. As per the Brochure, the number of eligible candidates has been increased to 2, 45, 000. Check complete details here.

In order to implement the newly introduced 10 percent quota for poor students from the General Category, approximately 25 per cent seats will be added to ensure that the reservation does not disturb the existing quota for SC, ST and other categories, according to the Union HRD Minister Mr. Prakash Javdekar. As a result of this decision, the number of number of candidates to be shortlisted for JEE Advanced 2019 has been increased by 21000 from the last year. Now, a total of 2.45 lakh top candidates of JEE Main 2019 can register from May 3 at jeeadv.ac.in.

IIT Roorkee has already shifted the exam date of JEE Advanced 2019 from May 19 to May 27 due to the lok sabha elections. There will be two papers for JEE Advanced 2019 based on three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
