About the Exam:
The most prestigious engineering institutes in India give admission on the basis of two most prestigious engineering exam – JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Central Board of Secondary Education conducts JEE MAIN Examination. Admission to NITs and IIITs are given on the basis of this examination. The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have also joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also required to fill in the JEE (Main) application form. The next round is JEE ADVANCED.
