Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has organised the offline or pen and paper mode of JEE Main 2018 today,  i.e., April 8, 2018. The paper is conducted in two parts where the candidates wrote their first paper in the morning while the paper 2 will be concluded in the afternoon shift. 

 

While talking to a few students who attempted the paper, most of them were of the view that the paper was of moderate level and was having many previous years' questions. They also told that apart from Physics and Maths, the paper was quite easy. However, some students complained of a few errors in questions asked in Physics section.

This year, about 10.4 lakh students have registered for JEE Mains in total.

 

The first paper of JEE Main 2018 Pen and Paper Mode Examination was held at different centres located in 112 cities throughout the country and abroad today.
The JEE Mains official answer keys and images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of pen and paper based examination and answer keys of Computer based examination will be displayed on the official website of the exam, www.jeemain.nic.in., till the last week of this month. However, many private agencies/ education portals are expected to release unofficial answer keys after the completion of the exam today.

 

Paper 1 for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) was held for three hours from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

 

After discussing about the paper, a few experts at different education portals, said that the JEE Main cut off this year might fall between 85 and 95.

Clearing the JEE mains and advanced papers, the candidates can get through in Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) courses. The exam is held in two stages— JEE main which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and JEE advanced which is held by different IITs every year.
