Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) declared result for nine posts of Medical Officer Ayurvedic in Health and Family Welfare Department. The interview of shortlisted candidates was conducted on 28 August 2012 and 29 August 2012.

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission prepared a General Merit List of 29 candidates on the basis of their performance in interview, academic merit, experience and other related parameters and a Select List, of 9 candidates, in order of merit against the post available. The select list is Provisional.

The Commission reserves the right to have certificate/documents of any candidate verified, if it is at any stage found expedient to do so.

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission is a body created by the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir State. The Commission advises the state Government on all matters relating to State Civil Services .

Under section 129 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir the Chairman and the Members of the Public Service Commission are appointed by the Governor for a period of five years or till he attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier.

Conducting examinations for appointments to the services of the State is one of the many functions of the Commission, as defined under section 133 of the Constitution of the Jammu and Kashmir State.
