Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission issued notification inviting applications, in the prescribed format, from the permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir State for recruitment to 90 non-teaching posts of Librarian (42 posts) and Physical Training Instructor (48 posts) in Higher Education Department. Maximum = 37 years
[Maximum age limit is relax-able to 39 years of age for Physically handicapped candidates, to 40 years for candidates belonging to RBA / SC / ST / ALC / SLC categories, to 45 years for In Service candidates and to 48 years for Ex-serviceman candidates.]
Essential Qualifications: Candidate should be a Post Graduate and have qualified NET / SLET / SET or complete his / her Ph.D.
Selection Procedure: Selection for the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
If the Commission considers that the number of candidates who have applied for the post to be filled by direct recruitment, on the basis of interview, is large and it is not convenient, or possible, to interview all the candidates, it may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview, by short listing the candidates through:
a) Short listing through a written Screening Test
b) Short listing by other methods -- on the basis of:
(i) Percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination; and
(ii) Higher qualification, if any, in the relevant subject.
In such conditions, only shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for the Interview.
Candidates selected for appointment will have to undergo a medical examination prescribed by the authorities.
Appointment order of the selected candidates will be issued in accordance with the availability of vacancies.
NOTE : The marks secured by the candidates in the screening test will not be taken into account for determining the final order of merit.
