Eligibility Criteria of JMI BA LLB Entrance Exam –
- Candidates must have passed Class 12th board examination and must have obtained at least 50% marks in all main subjects including English Language as a main subject
- As per the legal education clause 28, the age limit for admissions to undergraduate law courses (five-year integrated) is 20 years for candidates belonging to General category
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, the age limit is not more than 22 years
How to apply for JMI BA LLB Entrance Exam?
Visit the official website of JMI i.e. www.jmi.ac.in or http://jmicoe.in/
- To apply for JMI Law Entrance Exam, candidates need to click on ‘Admissions’ tab to visit the application window
- To get application form, click on Register yourself and submit the details like name, phone number, e-mail id, and date of birth. Also, candidates need to create a password for their account
- After registration, the candidates will be provided confirmation on screen, n email address and on phone number as registered
- Candidates need to click on activation link provided on the e-mail address to confirm registration for JMI Law Admissions and login with the registered user id and password
- After this, candidates can fill the application form of JMI BA LLB admissions including academic details, personal details like parents name, communication address, category details, exam details like course appearing for, exam city etc.
- Candidates need to upload scanned copies of Photograph and Signature as per the specifications i.e. in jpeg file format; also photo should be within 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size, scanning resolution should be within 100 dpi & file size not more than 100 kb
- Once, the complete application form is filled up, candidates can proceed to make payment either in online mode using Debit Card/Credit Card/NET Banking option or in offline mode by generating e-challan of HDFC bank and making cash payment at the nearest HDFC branch. The application fee for JMI Law Entrance exam is Rs. 700
- Now, candidates can check if the payment status has been updated (done within two working days in case of offline fee payment)
- Thereafter, candidates can submit the application form in online mode only no need to send printed copy of submitted application form on the official address. Candidates can just keep the copy for future references.

Marking Scheme:
- Each question of JMI Law Entrance Exam carries one mark
- In case of wrong attempts, there will be deduction of 0.25 marks from the allotted marks for the question i.e. one mark.
Selection Process of JMI Law Entrance Exam –
The candidates are selected on basis of qualifying marks obtained by them in the law entrance exam and also the eligibility criteria for the BA LLB course. The university releases a merit-cum –waiting list after announcing the results.
Seats reservation –
The seats of BA LLB regular and BA LLB Self-financing courses have been reserved for different categories as under –
Muslim Minority –
- 30% of total seats for all Muslim candidates
- 10% of total seats for all women Muslim candidates
- 10% of total seats for OBC and ST candidates who are Muslim
Other reservations –
- 5% for Physically Handicapped candidates
- 5% for internal candidates of JMI
- 2 seats for Kashmiri Migrant candidates
