The Jawahar Lal Nehru University has come up with a new feature for its students. Students and faculty from now on, can access catalogues, E journals, E books and data bases from anywhere and anytime of the day.
The University’s central library will be just in the back of students hands whether they are in another town or maybe on a vacation.
A search engine, similar to the likes of “Google”, has also been set up to sort out the problem of multiple databases and e-resources and to provide a single-window access to all e-resources in order to avoid any potential situation of dilemma. However, the results will be limited to in-house and subscribed resources only.
The current aim of the library is to electronically deliver information to all those students who cannot access the library physically.
