JPSC Civil Services 2021 Exam: The Jharkhand Government has postponed the JPSC Civil Services 2021 Exam and other competitive exams on Sunday due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the past few weeks. The State Civil Service Exam Prelims Exam was to be held on 2 May 2021 which is now postponed till further notice.
This recruitment drive was to fill 252 vacancies of Deputy Collector, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, District Coordinator, Jail Superintendent, and others through JPSC Exam. Around 5.5 Lakhs of candidates were to appear for this recruitment test. The online applications were closed on 16 March 2021 and now the candidates were waiting to appear for the prelims exam.
On Sunday, Cheif Minister Hemant Soren and state health minister Banna Gupta announced the postponement of State Civil Services and other competitive exams. The candidates who have been waiting for the exam had welcomed the decision of the government.
The new dates for the exam will be communicated on the official website. All candidates are advised to keep checking on the official website for the latest updates.
The Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Exam comprises two successive stages:-
- Prelims (Objective)
- Mains (Written & Interview)
Prelims Exam Pattern:
The examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each, namely, General Studies -I and General Studies 2. All questions of compulsory papers will be of objective type (Multiple Choice Question) and each paper will be of 2 hours duration. The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. The selection list for the Main Examination shall be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in both papers.
Mains Exam: Main Examination will consist of a Written Examination and all Interview Test.
