Karnatak University, accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC, issued notification inviting applications for filling up one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with the DST-UKIERI funded project titled “Conjugation of wild silk proteins with polymer brushes for Biomedical Applications”. The selected candidate will be expected to carry out a part of the research work at Queen Mary University of London during the tenure of the project (at least 2 years tentatively).
The project is a joint collaboration program between Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology (DBM), Karnatak University and School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS), Queen Mary University of London, under the UK India Education Research Initiative.

Essential Qualifications: Candidates should have a PG Degree (M. Sc) in any life science subject and have qualified NET/GATE/SLET examination.
Candidates having knowledge of Polymer Chemistry and research experience in Biomaterials will be preferred.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Interview.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Interview.
