Karnataka University, Dharwad invited applications for recruitment to the post of Research Project Assistant under Major Research Project entitled "Experimental studies on additive effects of PGPR and hydrolytic enzymes on Niger plants infected with AM fungi" Sponsored by DST-SERB, New Delhi. Eligible candidates can send applications in the prescribed format on or before 12 January 2014. Karnataka University was established at Dharwad in October 1949. It had its official inauguration in March 1950. The campus spans 750 acres. The university has three faculties: arts, science and social science. Medical science and engineering were also part of this faculty. However, the Government of Karnataka established Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for Medical Science and Visvesvaraya Technological University for engineering.

• Candidate must possess M.Sc. in botany or microbiology or mycology or plant pathology with minimum 55% marks.
• Knowledge of general microbiology and Kannada is desirable.
Pay Scale: Rs.8000 per month fixed
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in interview.
