Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Delhi conducts Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE) for students studying in recognised schools of Delhi. The JSTS exam is conducted for awarding scholarships to the students who qualify for the competitive scholarship examination. JSTS examination is generally conducted in January every year. Students from all schools including Government Schools, Government –Aided Schools, Public schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Novodaya Vidyalaya or New Delhi Municipal Council Schools can participate in Junior Science Talent Search Examination. Eligibility Criteria for JSTS Examination:
- Students studying in Class 9th are only eligible for JSTS Examination
- They must be studying in any recognised school of Delhi only
- They must have scored at least 65% marks in Class 8th examinations irrespective of reserved categories

How to apply for JSTS Examination?:
- Students can apply for Junior Science Talent Search Examination in offline mode only. They can obtain the application-cum-admit-card from Head of their school as it is available with all recognised schools of Delhi.
- Students need to fill the application form of JSTS Examination with basic details and they do not need to fill the admit card attached with.
- After filling up the JSTS Application Form, students need to attach their photograph, as well as documents relevant for reserved category (under SC/ST/PW)
- The application form of JSTS must be attested by the School Head/Concerned person and should be sent by post at official address of Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Delhi.
Note: The students applying for JSTS Examination need not pay any application fee, as the application form of JSTS is free of cost.

JSTS Examination Selection Process:
- The students are selected for JSTS Scholarship on basis of qualifying scores obtained in both papers of JSTS Examination
- The students fulfilling the eligibility criteria of JSTS including qualifying score in JSTS examination, academic qualification etc. will be awarded scholarships
