Know all about Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) is one of the prominent school education boards in India. The Rajasthan state education board was established in 1957 under Rajasthan Secondary Education Act in 1957 in Jaipur and later shifted to Ajmer. There are more than 6000 schools affiliated to BSER from as many as 32 districts of the state. The board manages examinations for the affiliated schools as under –

• Secondary Examination for Class 10^th
• Senior Secondary Examination for Class 12^th
• Class 9^th Vocational Examination
• Class 11^th Vocational Examination 
• Praveshika Pariksha for Class 10^th (Sanskrit Education)
• Varishtha Upadhayay Pariksha for Class 12^th (Sanskrit Education)

Moreover, BSER conducts scholarship examination for all students as well as specifically for Class 8^th and Class 10^th students.

BSER Awards:

BSER also acknowledges and honours meritorious students at various level such as Secondary examinations, praveshika, senior secondary examinations and senior upadhayay pariskha.

• The topper students are awarded with Gold medal and silver medals for 1^st and 2^nd position respectively in the examinations.
• The students are honoured by different personalities/celebrities with medals and cash prizes for scoring highest marks/top position in board examination, subject or talent.

Removal of Age-Limit: The age limit for admissions to Class 9^th to Class 12^th has been removed by BSER

BSER Scholarships –

The state secondary education board of Rajasthan conducts various competitions to develop non-scholastic skills in students at all level. These competitions are held at block level, district level as well as at the state level by the Board. There are as many as 487 scholarships for new academic session every year. The scholarships are awarded to the first three topper students for every competition at each level. The competitions conducted by BSER for awarding scholarships are –

BSER State NTSE –

The Rajasthan state secondary education board conducts National Talent Search Examination at state level for Class 10^th students of the state. The students who qualify the Rajasthan state level NTSE examination will be eligible to appear for national level examination of NTSE which is conducted by National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT). Rajasthan NTSE provides exposure and opportunity for talented students of Class 10^th. The students who are studying in Class 10^th under regular schooling can participate in Rajasthan NSTE which is conducted in November every year. Moreover, BSER provides special classes to the students who participate in Rajasthan NTSE and also for NCERT NTSE exam.

BSER State NMMS –

Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) also conducts National Means cum Merit Scholarship examination at state level for Class 8^th students. The Rajasthan NMMS exam is conducted to identify and help students who are talented but lack financial support. The students who qualify Rajasthan NMMS are provided with financial support as per their school fee and other expenses for their higher education.

BSER Personality Development Camp –

The secondary education board of Rajasthan conducts Personality development camp for meritorious students of the affiliated schools for helping them develop self- confidence and positively of outlook. This camp is helped to train students in developing communication skills, public image making, and networking/social skills.

BSER Old Question Papers –

The board provides past year questions papers for Class 10^th and Class 12^th for each subject i.e. compulsory as well as elective/optional subjects. The previous questions papers of BSER board examination for Class 10^th and Class 12^th are of great help to students who will be appearing for the board examination.
