There would be refurbished outlook soon of the syllabus, infrastructure, teacher’s training and modernization in the schools affiliated under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE). In the 58th annual general meeting of the ICSE affiliate schools across the country, the decision of this revamp was taken and the road map is on its way.
According to the Secretary-treasurer of Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC), KV Vincent, “The ways we read, learn, work, communicate and find information have changed drastically in the last few years. The implication of these changes in tremendous in all walks of life. We need to rethink our practices as an educator in response to these changes and this is why we are here.”
The meeting which is currently undergone would see more than 1200 principals for the various schools around the country, who would discuss on how to bring the revamp in the syllabus and examination of the board, as per current academic requirement in the nation. The theme of this year’s meeting is ‘Education in a changing world.’
In the meeting there would discussions over smart classes, e-learning, emphasis over practical studies along with upgradation of laboratories and extracurricular activities. Along with these there would discussions over teacher-training center for in service teachers as well.
