MAT May 2018 PBT to be Held Again on May 20, 2018; Registrations Re-open

AIMA has announced that MAT 2018 exam will be conducted again in both PBT and CBT format. The registrations for the same have been extended and all the interested and eligible candidates are advised to apply for the exam before the last date ends.

Yes, you heard it right! All India Management Association (AIMA) has announced to conduct the Paper Based Test (PBT) once again. Hence, the registration process has been extended up to May 14, 2018. Earlier the MAT May PBT 2018 was held on May 6, so here is another chance for those who could not appear for the May PBT. The second MAT May PBT 2018 will be held on May 20, 2018.

This announcement has come across as a surprise, as this is the first time ever MAT May PBT will be held twice in May. No wonder, it will be a relief to those who missed the MAT PBT on May 6. That’s not it; AIMA will also be conducting the MAT May Computer Based Test (CBT) on May 20, 2018. This means, there will be two PBT’s and one CBT in May 2018 in different time slots.

With MAT PBT May being held again with a revised registration date, aspirants can start applying for the MAT PBT 2 right away until May 14. But, a word of caution, only those candidates who earlier did not appear for MAT PBT 1 can apply for MAT PBT 2. This means, if a candidate has already appeared for the PBT 1 on May 6, then he cannot sit for the MAT PBT 2 to be held on May 20. Candidates can, however, appear for the MAT CBT May 2018, even if they have taken the PBT 1.

Important Highlights

  • Those who wish to sit for both MAT PBT and CBT May 2018 must make sure to check the exam time slots; since both MAT PBT & CBT are being held on May 20, 2018.
  • Even if you wish to appear for both, make sure you pick a different time slot for both.
  • There are no changes in the MAT PBT & CBT May application fee. A fee of Rs. 1550 for any one of the exam has to be paid. While, both PBT and CBT can be taken with a fee of Rs. 2650. 
  • The MAT Admit Card is already available for download on official website of AIMA.
  • Those who miss the MAT May PBT & CBT can to sit for MAT September 2018; but, those applicants will be considered for 2019 session and not 2018.

MAT 2018 is a national level entrance test conducted to filter hundreds of applicants for admission to MBA and PGDM programme at participating institutes. Over 300 B-schools accept MA scores of which ISBM, Pune, IPE Hyderabad, N L Dalmia, Mumbai and JIMS Rohini are some of the MAT accepting institutes across India. The management test is conducted four times in a year: February, May, September and December.
